i am searching for information on a lost family member. he was alexander henry mactavish born 1880 in new zealand.. ( son of alexr james mactavish from migovie farm stratherrick ).This missing alexander henry fought in the sth african boer war and was invalided back to new zealand in 1902. He appears to have returned to south africa shortly after this time and may have worked for the sth african govt intelligence ( according to notes from my dad ? )..alexander henry mactavish has not been heard from since around 1915 when we have a photo of him allegedly taken around that time . It is thought he may have settled in kenya but this is a guess. Any mactavish from sth africa descent have any ties to this man. ? he may have died unmarried but we are hoping he has family somehwere.
