Letters Re; Metis Cousins

These letters make for fascinating reading Cathy and I'd love to know what became of Duncan and Donald---did they ever return to Scotland,did they see their mother again , who was their beloved granny at Foyers and are their portraits still in existence ?

Their granny at Foyers was Isobel Fraser, who was married to Duncan McTavish. Weren't these tales sad??? Apparently the boys money was invested in a venture that went bankrupt. And then his guardians just left them without anything. There are many of Metis ancestry in the US whose ancestors came from this area of Scotland. I am trying to find someone in Australia to see if they can determine if these two young men survived, married and had issue. I will let you know if we ever discover anything on them!
